CAPE’s Road To RLWC
The opportunity to become an Official Hospitality Partner for The Rugby League World Cup 2021 arose in October 2020. After a 3-month virtual project, I’d bid farewell to my avatar self, re-emerged into the real world (as far as COVID restrictions allowed), and travelled to Manchester for some face-to-face meetings before cycling back down to London. As I was sitting in a coffee shop in Loughborough, I got a call from RLWC asking if CAPE was still interested in becoming an accredited broker for the hospitality programme. I’d applied a few months before, and then completely forgotten about it.
Rugby was one of the first sports we promoted through CAPE, with our first two clients both going to the Six Nations and both having brilliant experiences. Rugby is one of our core passions and a continued favourite amongst CAPE clients looking for corporate and personal hospitality events that can offer a fun, laid-back and electric atmosphere where attendees can create memories and enjoy the day with their friends and clients.
As a small hospitality agency, becoming an official hospitality partner for the RLWC2021 is a huge opportunity for us to showcase our skills and apply our people-focused approach to a legendary sporting event. We bring value to our clients through our logistical expertise and personalised programmes curated away from the pitch.
The Rugby League World Cup is accessible for fans at every level, offering affordable ticket-only options or lengthier weekend breaks for those looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Rugby League is a fairly new format of the sport for us, but one we know can become as big, if not bigger part of our footprint.
CAPE understands that what you experience at the stadium is only a fraction of the experience. Curated hospitality packages combined with a tailored approach to exploring the host cities guarantees a wholesome hospitality experience, delivering rich culture, world-class sport and enhanced relationships.
Following the updated schedule (read our previous post here for more details) Liverpool will no longer be hosting matches due to conflicting commitments, however It is favourably located for added cultural programmes for those visiting the North, with a wealth of opportunity to include extra items onto your itinerary.
